From Death to Dwelling: Why We’re Studying Ephesians Together
There are seasons when God presses pause on our plans—not to stall us, but to deepen us.
That’s where I find myself right now.
After walking through some heavy transitions in ministry, interviews, and discernment about what comes next, the Lord has been gently, persistently bringing me back to one place: His Word shaping His people.
Before Paul ever tells the church how to live, he reminds them who they are in Christ—chosen, redeemed, raised, seated, and secure. Then in chapter 2, he takes us even deeper:
from death to life
from outsiders to family
from hostility to peace
from individual stones to a dwelling place for God
Ephesians 2 is not just theology—it’s formation.
It tells us:
what we were apart from Christ
what God has done in Christ
and what He is building together through His people
In a season when many of us are asking questions about church, calling, belonging, and faithfulness, this chapter speaks with clarity and hope.
And we’ll pray—not just for direction, but for revelation.
Let’s open the Word together.
Let’s pray together.
And let’s trust the One who brings the dead to life and makes His home among His people.
For His glory,
Dillon
